The Nothing Club is a
groundbreaking media-based social inclusion project that will
transform the lives of children with disabilities across Canada
through unprecedented digital engagement and community building. This
revolutionary initiative combines cutting-edge digital storytelling
with innovative grassroots community development in a way that has
never before been attempted in children’s programming. For the
first time ever, entertainment content and community-building tools
will be seamlessly integrated to address one of the most critical yet
overlooked social determinants of health: meaningful inclusion for
children with visible and non-apparent disabilities.
Digital
children’s series: A professionally produced 10 episode x 10-minute
series featuring diverse characters and authentic storytelling that
normalizes disability while celebrating uniqueness and modeling
inclusive friendships.
Digital community hub: An innovative
online platform that facilitates the creation of grassroots “Nothing
Clubs” across Canada—providing tools, resources and facilitation
guides for children, parents, guardians, and educators to build
communities around shared interests.
