Rebecca Davey
Rebecca is a writer, director and producer. She is the President of
Ceres Productions, which she co-founded with her sister to tell badass
and tender stories. Prior to that she was co-founder and President of
She Said Films, which encouraged women behind and in front of the camera
for over a decade. She
has written and directed several short films which have been featured
at Telefilm’s Not Short on Talent Program at the Cannes Film Festival,
as well as writing, producing and starring in two seasons of the
award-winning digital series
Running With Violet, which is currently available on OUTtv, Amazon Prime US, and ERT Greece.
Rebecca is an active member of WIFT, the CMPA and the WGC. She has a Masters of Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia and
is a member of Hollywood producer Nicky Weinstock's exclusive Craft
Services group. She teaches directing and writing in the George Brown
Media program.

Natalie Davey
Natalie’s
background in public education, and ongoing work within higher
education via universities like Niagara University Ontario and Yorkville
University/Toronto Film School, helps to bring a fresh eye to film and
television writing. With a PhD in Educational Philosophy and 20 years of
public and higher education experience, Natalie complements Rebecca's
film expertise with exceptional communication and partnership skills.
Her ability to build strong relationships and foster organizational
diversity has been instrumental in rallying support for Ceres’ projects.
As a sepsis survivor, Natalie moves through the world with a limb
difference and was part of the Disability Screen Organization’s (DSO)
first cohort to PrimeTime in 2024. Her lived experience informs the
deeply human storytelling that Ceres values and amplifies in all of its
various projects.
